Company History
Retina-X Studios (RXS) began in July 1997 as a web consulting and design firm. After years of developing various monitoring products for outside companies, Retina-X Studios began creating monitoring software products using its own brand name in 2003. The first product, AceSpy for Windows, was released to the public on April 28th, 2003.
Over the next few years, more products were added to the RXS lineup. In 2004, RXS released Net Spy Pro which offers network administrators the ability to monitor a LAN. Also in 2004, RXS filed for company LLC status. In March 2006, RXS launched Sniper Spy. Soon, RXS began flourishing due to unsponsored recognition in worldwide magazines and publications including Computer Shopper, BBC, PC Pro, Computer Buyer, Digit and more.
Due to this media coverage, positive customer response and the further help of word-of-mouth advertising, Retina-X Studios, LLC software sales grew 1600% from November 2004 to November 2006. In August of 2006, RXS opened their first office location and hired more experts to provide a solid base from which to work from and branch out.
The next year, in May of 2007, RXS developed and released the first monitoring software available for mobile phones, Mobile Spy for Windows Mobile. This will not be the last time that RXS has pioneered the mobile phone monitoring industry. In September of 2007, Readerâs Digest published an article on employee monitoring, providing more global exposure to RXSâ monitoring software niche.
Following the success of 2007, RXSâ first retail product was launched in January 2008 and distributed nationwide to thousands of large retail stores. By July 2008, RXS had attained 25,000 customers worldwide, and at the very end of the year, RXS released the first software ever available to monitor Appleâs iPhone, Mobile Spy iPhone. This impressed writers at the New York Times enough that they sought to discuss it with the world.
In September of 2009, CNN.com sparked a discussion on monitoring mobile phones. RXS had acquired 50,000 customers globally, and in October released Mobile Nanny, the very first software available for parents to block, filter, and restrict features on the smartphone theyâve provided for their children. RXS then released three more products in rapid succession over the next 30 days. Mobile Spy for BlackBerry and the first software available for monitoring Android operating systems. By the end of November, RXS released a version of AceSpy for Macintosh computers.
Then, in 2010, RXS continued to grow by opening their second office in Jacksonville, FL in February and began providing customer support over the telephone by March. In May, RXS introduced Mobile Spy for the iPad innovating mobile computer monitoring software once again. By August of 2010, RXS released Sniper Spy Mac, and in September, RXS achieved the 100,000 customer milestone.
RXS continues growth through 2011 with ground-breaking products such as Mobile Sync Pro, released in January, which allows you to synchronize your mobile data across various operating systems. By using a business model that continues to research and develop new products and strengthen the business, Retina-X Studios LLC will continue to expand their industry.
